Verano Beat is an independent travel publication. This Editorial Policy explains how we research, write, fact-check, and update the content on hotelclubveranobeat.com (the "Site"). We publish it so readers and partners understand what kind of publication we are.

1. Editorial independence

Our editorial team operates independently of any commercial relationship. We do not accept press trips, sponsored stays, comped meals, or compensation in exchange for coverage. When we recommend a destination, restaurant, or stay, we have paid for the experience ourselves. This is not a productivity hack. It is the only way we know to keep our recommendations honest.

2. How we choose what to cover

Coverage is built around the question that gives the Site its name: where is summer right now? Each month we shortlist destinations where the weather, the sea, and the local season align. We prioritize places we can visit ourselves, places we have visited in the recent past, and places where our network of trusted contributors lives and works.

3. Research process

For every destination we cover we consult a minimum of three sources beyond our own visit. These typically include official national meteorological data, marine forecasting services, regional tourism statistics, and on-the-ground interviews with local hospitality operators. We do not lift content from other publications.

4. Fact-checking

Every published article is reviewed by a second editor before it goes live. Specific factual claims, including temperature ranges, sea-condition notes, transport schedules, and prices, are checked against primary sources. Where information is contested or rapidly changing, we make this clear in the text.

5. Updates and corrections

Travel changes. We update each monthly hub before its month begins, then revise it mid-month if conditions shift materially. Each article displays the date of its most recent meaningful update. If a reader notifies us of an error, we investigate within five business days, publish a correction with a note where appropriate, and thank the reader.

6. Use of photography

Photographs on the Site are either taken by our team, licensed from professional photographers, or sourced from royalty-free libraries. We do not use generative artificial intelligence to fabricate images of real places. We caption photographs to indicate location and, where relevant, season.

7. Use of artificial intelligence

We use software tools, including artificial-intelligence tools, to assist with proofreading, transcription, translation, and summary tasks. Editorial judgment, destination selection, opinion, and recommendation remain the responsibility of human editors. We do not publish articles that have been written end-to-end by an AI without substantial human revision and on-the-ground verification.

8. Affiliate links and advertising

If we use affiliate links, we disclose them clearly and they do not influence coverage. The Site does not currently run display advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will keep it separated from editorial content and label it transparently.

9. Diversity of voices

We commission writers who live in or have long ties to the regions they cover. We believe a destination is best described by someone who knows it across multiple seasons, not someone visiting for the first time on a four-day press itinerary.
